Jane here, guys! As promised, after posting everything I’ve learned from experience about the 10 Step Korean Skin care routine, I’m putting together a quick list for you as to where you can buy these Korean Skin Care products online.
Here are my criteria for choosing these products:
- natural and organic
- won’t harm my skin in the long run
- affordable, since these are repeat purchases
- have very good reviews from other users
And for those who just accidentally dropped by in here, we love this Korean face care thing because it solved a lot of my problem areas and really improved how I look.
Update 8/5/2017: A reader just mailed in and shared that she’s winning her fight against The Pimples since she read about my original post and tried this regimen too. I’m happy!!

My Product Picks for the 10 Step Korean Skin Care
I’ll go through the products in the order that I listed them in my original post so here goes…
#1: Oil Cleanser – The Face Shop’s Rice Water
I’m a bit nostalgic about Face Shop because this was one of the first Korean shops that opened in our state even before Nature Republic or Tony Moly. Rice water is full of the good stuff (we use it on our plants those rare times we cook rice) but I was initially worried about it being a light oil. I needn’t have worried though. It takes my makeup and gunk right off. I tested with a cotton ball and toner and my skin was clean.
#2: Cleanser – The Face Shop’s Rice Water Cleansing Foam
I got the pair — the light cleanser and the cleansing foam — together at a discount. I think I save $3 every time I buy them as a pair. You can check it out HERE.
Obvs, I got this cleanser due to the discount and the convenience but you also get double the action when you use a complete line. Still, there’s a lot of amazing cleansers out there so don’t be afraid to branch out.
#3: Toner – SON & Park Beauty Water
This toner is a bit more expensive than other toners on my shortlist but when I have the budget, this is what I go for because it’s a multi-tasker. It cleanses, hydrates, and exfoliates, hence the slight acidity. It smells wonderful too which is a plus for me because I’ve very visual AND aural. It’s got lavender water, orange fruit extract, and rose water.
But wait! If you are suffering from acne, there’s a huge chance this won’t work great on you. Instead, I would recommend my next favorite pick: Etude House’s 10-in-1 House Wonder Pore Freshener.
It’s gotten good results from those with cystic skin. What I personally like about it is that it’s half the price of my SON toner but still a good choice.
#4: Essence – Cosrx’ Advanced Snail 96 Mucin
This stuff is amazing! I first tried it because a lot of users were posting their Before and After photos. Very convincing so I tried it too and I have to say, it does lighten scars.
Also, I’ve kept on using it because it’s snail essence. Very anti-aging which I personally need.
I swear you won’t notice it’s made from snail mucus but if you’re leery of it or worse, allergic to snail essence, I would recommend my next favorite — MISSHA’s The First Treatment Essence. Slightly more expensive but hey, it’s Missha.
Advanced warning: Be careful not to break the frosted glass bottle. I’ve done this and wept over my expensive product.
#5: Serum – Elizavecca Hell Pore Control Hyaluronic Acid
Another amazingly cheap product that works very well. Pat this onto your face after essence and you’ll be reborn a beauty queen, just see.
The name actually gives me the giggles sometimes because I REALLY had helluva huge pores before I went on this facial routine. But now, my pores are slowly decreasing in size. (Off topic but have you seen those K-celebrities with NO pores??)
I’m a huge believer of hyaluronic acid too so win-win. This serum is my budget pick but when I splurge, I also get Missha’s Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoules. It’s double the price but you get great value (plus it pairs with my other Time Revolution product.)
#6: Eye Cream – Mizon’s Snail Repair
I had some difficulty looking for eye cream because a lot of what’s available out there were in tubs. They’re super cute but I hate double dipping. I just don’t think it’s sanitary or hygeinic. Anyways, that’s how I ended up with Mizon’s… because it comes in a squeeze tube.
My love affair with snail mucus continues with this eye cream. In my case, it helped with my puffy under-eyes and dermatitis in my eyebrow area.
For those with snail allergies, I would recommend another product I picked up and had good results with — Elizavecca Gold CF-Nest White Bomb. It’s the bomb, guys! And yes, it’s made from the nest of swiftlets that’s made from their saliva. So there you have it, bird spit or snail mucus? LOL
#7: Moisturizer – belif
Complete name: belif – The true cream – moisturizing bomb
I LOVE this product. I really can’t get enough of it. That’s why even if it’s pricey, I just go for it. For the record, it’s a 26-hour moisturizing cream, wth.
Before I got into skin care, I hated putting stuff on my face because of weird scents and greasy feels. But not belif. It meets all my fussy requirements.
It’s very light and yet really moisturizing. The scent is very slight and mild. And if you have especially dry skin, then I highly recommend this.
At first, I didn’t understand why it had a cult following but now I do. As I mentioned earlier, I hate using products in tubs but this is the only exception. (Instead of dipping my fingers, I use a little spoon I filched from my niece.)
I’m still persuading Philip to buy me the eye cream for my birthday hah!
#8: Sunscreen – Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish
For the amazingly cheap price, this is a great sunscreen. It has no white cast that you get from regular sunscreens and dries semi-matte on my skin which looks great. It gets absorbed fast and settles very quickly. When I do put on makeup, the combo looks and feels great.
I have oily skin and usually, I start to shine midday because I have my sunscreen on top of some sheer makeup when I’m out. But I’ve stopped feeling uncomfortable like that and it’s even kept me from getting oily like before.
Overall, a great buy.
#9: Exfoliator – Dr.G Brightening Peeling Gel
Dr. G is a great brand and their peeling gel is one of the best. It’s not harsh and it really leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth. It’s not a peel though so don’t expect that.
When I put it on my face and massage it on, I build up a mass of residue. I’m still not sure whether this is dead skin or the way it’s formulated. It works though, which is all that matters.
I first heard about this product from Soko Glam and I’m so glad I did.
It’s a bit pricey at around 20 dollars but I only use it a couple of times a week so it lasts a loooong time for me. (Which is why I need squeeze bottles, people!)
I have no budget recommendation, sorry!
#10: Sheet Masks – Innisfree It’s Real
Innisfree is one of Korea’s top face sheet masks. There are no parabens in the ingredients so win!
I love face masks. I buy a whole lot on Amazon for cheap (Imagine 16 pieces for less than ten dollars!). For me, they spell relaxation and the ultimate in pampering myself when I need an emotional boost. It’s also fun to rifle through my collection and pick my “flavor” of the day. Scents really affect me and I love them!
MUST BUY: Etude House’s Lovely Etti Hair Band
If you’re diving deep into the K-craze, might as well go for it. Buy this super cute head band. It’s REALLY practical AND cute as well. I ignore Philip when he’s making snarky comments.
Whew, finally done. This was a huge effort for me to write but I do hope I can help somebody out there who’s having skin problems too or just generally want to more diva-beautiful.
